The Department of Lands and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Agriculture (DoA) is pleased to announce the availability of funds for fiscal year 2024, under the USDA's Agriculture Marketing Services, specifically the Micro-Grants for Food Security Program.

The program will award grants to eligible applicants and organizations to increase the quantity of locally grown food through small-scale farming, herding, and livestock operations in communities with significant levels of food insecurity and a high reliance on food imports.

. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens and residing in the CNMI. Applications will be selected on a competitive basis, as recommended by the Micro-Grant Review Panel. Priority will be given to those who have not yet received an award under this program.

Applications for the food security program are available at the Division of Agriculture in Kagman, Saipan, MP, or under the Program Publication section on this page. The deadline to submit applications is October 15, 2025.
